The Armscor bursary will cover the following expenses:

Undergraduate students:

tuition fees, prescribed books, meals, accommodation, as well as coaching, mentoring, individual counseling and the chance to do vacation work.

Postgraduate students:

tuition fees, prescribed books, meals, accommodation, as well as the chance to apply for funding to attend workshops, local conferences, laboratory visits or another activity which will support the current research.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

South African citizen
Strong academic performer
Interested in working within the defence sector
Obtained good results for Science, Mathematics and English in Matric
Have registered (or plan to register) to study at South African University/ University of Technology
Studying full-time in one of the aforementioned fields of study (1st/ 2nd/ 3rd year)
Postgraduate applicants: registered to study towards a full-time Honours/ Masters/ Doctoral qualification
