Good day. I would just like to ask regarding the requirements for these bursaries. In the requirements it states for the SACAA bursary that mathematics is a required subject but then the actual aviation schools doesn’t really require mathematics .Even most companies that gives out these basursies don’t require you to have mathematics.
Now if u look at the curriculum for example your PPL license. Not everything from the mathematics is used its only here and there.
Most aviation school even states all you need is a basic understanding of mathematics, physics and geography which most of us have received between grade 5 and grade 10.
Some aviation schools even takes people as young as 17years which don’t even have a matric in mathematics and physical science.
This opens a window of an disadvantage to some people like myself. I really want attend aviation school to become a pilot. The most consistent basury is from SACAA but because of this small disadvantage I most likely won’t receive funding.
I passed my matric with maths literacy but very good marks very.
You raised some valid points. The requirements do close off quite a good amount of potential. Maybe they need to reasses what they require in order for an applicant to be accepted.
I’m interested in your mention of companies that are giving out aviation bursaries too, do you have any names I can look up?
Please send me the form to apply I can’t get it in the link
Can I have the form of bursary application?
can i pleas have the application form
I don’t have mathematics and physical science and I really need to pursue career of aviation does this mean I won’t be funded by SACAA and if it does offer me an opportunity please forward me the application form
